Hypnobirthing is suitable for everyone! If you are looking for a calm, confident and positive experience, my courses are for you! It doesn’t matter what type of birth you are working towards, hypnobirthing techniques can be used for all births.
This may be your first, second, or fifth pregnancy, anyone is welcome to join the hypnobirthing course. If you have already completed a hypnobirthing course in a previous pregnancy, get in touch to find out more about my refresher course.
Hypnobirthing techniques can be used to support you through home birth, hospital birth, induction of labour and caesarean birth.
This is different for everyone but most people wish to start somewhere between 20 and 34 weeks. My courses are either taught in small groups or privately, giving you the best possible personalised support.
The more you put into the course and the more time you spend practicing the tools and techniques, the more you will get out of it. It’s never too late to start the course though, so please get in touch regardless of your gestation. Whenever you join me for a course, I can assure you that you will get a huge amount out of it!
Ideally, your birth partner will attend the course with you. A lot of partners are a bit sceptical about hypnobirthing - this is very normal. It is really good for them to learn along side you as they will form a key part of your support network on the day!
Learning about the birthing process, what your options and choices are and how to support you best, will help you to become the best possible team ready for birth!
It’s really good to be able to practice the techniques at home together, so that on the day your birth partner is able to support you confidently. It is also a really lovely way of you both bonding with your baby.
If your birth partner is unable to attend, never fear, I will adapt the course to meet your needs.
Absolutely! Hypnobirthing courses give you the tools you will need to stay calm and relaxed during labour, birth and caesarean. My Hypnobirthing course will help to change the way you think and feel about birth to be positive, excited and knowledgeable about the whole process.
Many people feel nervous and anxious during pregnancy and birth. Hypnobirthing helps to reframe the way you think about birth and give you techniques to stay calm. The information and knowledge that you will learn during the course will help you to understand what is going on in your body and what to expect during the birth. Knowledge is power! And antenatal education can really help reduce anxiety around birth.
A lot of my clients have had pre or existing mental health problems and I have a lot of experience supporting these women through pregnancy.
